ECW Endowment Fund The Endowment Fund of the Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Kansas has reached almost $70,000. That amount is thanks to more than 40 registrations for the ECW Endowment Fun Day in Sedan on May 15, 2004; the generous offerings at the annual meeting of the ECW on Oct. 2, 2004; and individual contributions throughout the year. As a result, the Endowment Fund was able to transfer $1,590.77 in interest earned to the ECW diocesan board to help with its operating expenses. This income from the endowment fund helps finance services for women in all parishes, whether or not they have an organized ECW. Diocesan services include providing United Thank Offering and Church Periodical Club resources and speakers, continuing education grants for women, a discretionary fund for the bishop’s spouse, Women of Vision seminars and supporting delegates to provincial and national Episcopal Church Women Triennial meetings. Contributions in any amount are welcome. Are you grateful for someone’s influence in your life? Do you want to honor someone’s birthday, anniversary or a special holiday? As the interest from the ECW Endowment Fund grows, the amount needed for assessment to parish women will continue to decrease.
