General Convention ends with a bang: A flurry of legislation cleared the House of Deputies in the waning hours of the 75th General Convention June 21, including a resolution that begins interim Eucharistic sharing with the United Methodist Church (UMC), and other resolutions that reaffirm church support for gays and lesbians. Action calls for "restraint" in electing gay bishops: Responses to Resolution B033 varied from disappointment to relief June 21 as both houses of the 75th General Convention, after much debate, concurred on final language. Read more by clicking here.

Archbishop of Canterbury responds to Windsor-related resolutions: The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev. Rowan Williams, issued a statement shortly after General Conveniton adoted a reoslution dealing with consecrating bishops whose "manner of life" is not acceptable throughout the Anglican Commuion.
