V. Financial
It
is the policy of the Kansas School of Ministry that no one be refused
admissions for financial reasons. KSMhas very limited scholarship funds
available but is willing to help with planning and may be able to help with
suggestions for tuition grants. For more information, please contact the Dean.

What to do to
complete your application
1.
Return
completed form to KSM with an application fee of $25.00, checks made payable to
the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas.
2.
The remainder of the tuition is due by
the first weekend.
3.
Consult
with your Rector or Vicar about your plans and arrange for him or her to submit
a letter of recommendation to be sent to the KSM;

Letters of Recommendation
We ask applicants to
provide a letter of recommendation in order to be considered for admission to
the Kansas School of Ministry.
1.) The Rector/Vicar's Letter:
Ask
the Rector or Vicar of your home congregation to write a letter of
recommendation for you. The letter should address:
A. suitability: will attending KSM will be good for you and good for KSM
B. vocation: comment on the probability that you might have a call either to a
Lay Vocation or to be ordained as deacon in the church.
C. discernment: if your vocational path is still deeply obscured that there is
the foundation for work at KSM to be fruitful for your process of discernment
The Rector or Vicar's affirmation is necessary for you to enroll in the school. You may wish to give a copy of this page to your Rector/Vicar when you request this recommendation. If your congregation is in a interim situation, contact KSM for advice on how best to meet this
provision.
