Election results from Convention
Council of Trustees members, for three-year, at-large terms: Margaret LaRue, the Rev. Betty Glover
Clergy members selected by the four convocations and affirmed by Convention (three-year terms): The Rev. Gar Demo (Northeast), the Rev. Tom Miles (Northwest), the Very Rev. Steve Mues (Southwest), the Rev. Bill Wolff (Southeast)
Disciplinary Board members, for one-year unexpired terms: Janine Cox, Philip Davidson, Glenn Horton-Smith, the Rev. Dawn Frankfurt
Banquet awards
Archdeacon’s Cross Award: Deacon Patsy Abshier, recently retired from St. John’s, Wichita. This is given to a deacon for outstanding service.
Canon’s Award, given by Canon to the Ordinary the Rev. Craig Loya: The Rev. Art Rathbun, vicar of St. Mark’s, Blue Rapids and St. Paul’s, Marysville, and supply priest at Church of the Covenant, Junction City. This recognizing outstanding ministry by a priest.
Bishop’s Chair Award, given by Bishop Wolfe: Gery Schoenrock, outgoing president of the Council of Trustees and member of Church of the Covenant, Junction City. This honors exemplary service by a lay person in the past year.
Other actions
A financial mission plan for 2012 was adopted in the amount of $1,874,248.
A proposed debatable resolution was adopted that encourages next year's General Convention to continue its funding for the Millennium Development Goals.
Convention book
Includes information about nominees for election, the mission plan (budget) for 2012, the proposed resolution to be debated at convention and other helpful items.
