Council of Trustees
The Council of Trustees is the governing body of the diocese between conventions. It also functions as the Standing Committee. Six members are elected at-large by Diocesan Convention, and eight members come from the convocations – one lay person and one clergy person from each. Terms are three years; members may serve two consecutive terms.

Deputies to General Convention and Delegates to Province 7 Synod

Deputies attend the triennial General Convention of The Episcopal Church, the church's highest governing body. They are deputies and not delegates, since they are elected to vote their conscience. Deputies also serve as delegates to the Synod of Province 7, a grouping of 14 dioceses that inlcudes the Diocese of Kansas.

The Commission on Ministry

Convocation Boards
The diocese is divided into four geographic areas called convocations, and the clergy and lay delegates from parishes in those regions combine to form the convocation board. They meet several times a year for sharing information, community building, mutual support and to offer approval for certain requests from parishes going to the Council of Trustees.
