Kansas authors release By Melodie Woerman Barbara Bartocci knows people are busy, with lives full of jobs, children and errands. But she knows people of faith want to add prayer time to their lives. She has found a way to do both. Bartocci, a member of St. Michael’s, Mission, has written Grace on the Go: 101 Quick Ways to Pray as a way to turn everyday events into prayer opportunities. Even mundane things are times for prayer, she says. When filling your car with gas, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with love. When stopped at a red light, use the time to ask God’s forgiveness for any hurts you may have caused. She practices what she preaches, too. On a recent visit to the post office, she found herself in a long line. Fighting a growing impatience, she turned the time into an opportunity to ask God to bless the postal workers and their families. The book, sized to fit into a purse or backpack, sells for $9.95 and is published by Morehouse Publishing, a part of the Church Publishing Company. More infroamtion is available from Morehouse.
