HALLELUJAH BREAKFAST

Since our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper had to be cancelled because of snow, St. Paul’s will be having a Hallelujah breakfast on April 2 from 7:30-10:30 AM. There is a sign-up sheet in the parish hall for volunteers for greeters, cooks, servers, clean-uppers, set-uppers, etc. Carolyn Garwood is the co-ordinator.  We will be seating people upstairs if they find the stairs difficult so we need extra help with greeting and serving.  Sign up if you can help or speak with Carolyn. Thanks!!

LABOR OF LOVE

The weekend of April 29-30 is the next project weekend.  The purpose of Labor of Love is to promote Christian fellowship while ministering to our neighbors. There are pamphlets on the tables in the Parish Hall if you wish to register to help. The contact person for St. Paul’s is Mel Griggs, Office phone 632-2823, home phone 632-5544 and cell phone is 630-1081.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES!!!

Bishop Dean Wolfe will be visiting St. Paul’s on Sunday, June 26th!! If you are a member of St. Paul’s, and would also like to be a member of the Episcopal Church, this is your opportunity!!

If you have previously made an adult profession of faith in another denomination of the Christian Church, you would be Received into the Episcopal Church.  If you have not made an adult profession of faith, then you will be Confirmed.  Last year Brian Bauer and Donna Fuller were Received into our Church by Bishop Wolfe during his first visitation as our Bishop! Anyone who wishes may also Reaffirm their Baptismal Vows.  Many people choose to do this if they were confirmed at an early age, or if they have had an experience in their life that moves them to make a public reaffirmation of their faith in God through Christ.

Sometimes people ask if they can be baptized again following powerful spiritual experiences.  We believe, as Episcopalians, that the new birth of Baptism is like physical birth in that it cannot be done over again!  It counted the first time even if we were not at the level of consciousness that we are now. God fully welcomed us whenever and however we were baptized! But it would be very appropriate to Reaffirm your baptism vows or to be Confirmed. Please ask me if you have any questions or would simply like to talk more about this. Classes will be scheduled according to members needs, so please speak with me ASAP!  (If you were a member of the Via Media Class, that would count as your class with one more time of conversation with me.)

Thanks and Blessings, Mother Susan

LIGHTHOUSE FOR CHRIST wants to share Christ and His love with all of our community. We thank our friends for gifts of food and clothes, we are able to share. We also help with utility bills; keeping electricity on for a 4 day old baby with a heart monitor.  We appreciate our ministers and our faithful volunteers. Do pray for the Lighthouse that we may share Christ’s love.
